Effective date: June 20, 2026
The short version: Family Huddles does not collect, store, or share any personal information about you or your children. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything you set in the app stays on your own device.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Family Huddles mobile app ("the app," "we," "us") handles information. The app is operated by Virginia McDonald. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
We designed Family Huddles to work without gathering any data about you. We do not:
So the app can remember your preferences, it saves a few settings locally on your device. This information never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:
If you delete the app, this information is removed along with it.
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. These reminders are generated entirely on your device. No notification data, device tokens, or schedules are sent to us or any server. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
The app includes a "Share" button so you can send a question to someone using your device's built-in share options (for example, Messages or email). When you tap Share, your device — not Family Huddles — handles the rest. We do not see, collect, or store anything you share.
Family Huddles is made for families to use together at the dinner table, and is intended to be operated by a parent or guardian. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone — including children — it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our practices are consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar protections such as the GDPR provisions for children. If you believe we have somehow received personal information from a child, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
The app does not integrate advertising networks, analytics services, or other third-party software development kits that collect personal information. All of the app's questions are stored inside the app itself, so it works without an internet connection.
Because the app does not transmit your information off your device, there is no server-side database of your data to protect. Your preferences remain on your device under the protection of your device's own security (such as your passcode or biometric lock).
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Effective date" above and post the new version on this page. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
